Background Knowledge:

Jenna Sutton is nothing like the iconic vampire slayer of TV fame.

She’s the antithesis of a cheerleader. She’s not peppy. And she sucks at gymnastics. She has nothing in common with the fictional Buffy, other than being blonde and in high school...

Oh, and occasionally she kills vampires for a living as well as other things that go bump in the night

Following an attack on an English teacher at a nearby school, it becomes clear this wasn’t an ordinary coyote bite. The gray-green Lichtenberg-like webbing of streaks making their way up Ms. Pruett’s arm can mean only one thing—zombies. But this isn’t a normal zombie attack. The victims seem to be hand-picked.

Can Jenna complete her investigation without the school administrators figuring out she’s actually a high school student from another school? Will Jenna be able to find out who’s behind these attacks before a full-scale zombie outbreak overtakes the town? And, perhaps most importantly... Why did her best friend kiss her after all of these years?

Review:

~I'd like to thank the wonderful author for sending me a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!~

I loved this book! It was suspenseful, page turning, and had a hint of a maybe-romance (which I always love!). It was definitely a cozy mystery, one I could imagine myself reading by a fire with a blanket and a cup of hot cocoa.

I also love how Jenna isn't a stereotypical main character, but she's cool, relatable, and a nice role model.

All in all, this was an amazing book, with great characters, an awesome writing style, and a nice ending. (Plus there's no bad content!)

I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel!

Things I Loved:

-Had just the right amount of everything, kept me hooked the whole way!

-The characters were super fun to get to know!

Things I Didn't Love:

-Nothing comes to mind, it was a great read!

In Conclusion:

Whether you're a veteran zombie fiction reader, or you've never read a zombie book in your life (that's me!), this is a great one for you!

Recommended?:

Definitely!
