Review:

~I'd like to thank the author for sending me a free copy in exchange for my honest review!~

This was a great book. It was like a sci-fi adventure, but without too much sci-fi, you know?

One aspect of it that I really enjoyed, was that it was A LOT cleaner content-wise than a book like this typically would have been. Even in the fighting scenes, there was very very minimal violence and gore.

It was also fun to watch the character connections/relationships develop throughout the book, and see how everyone is related and develops throughout the story.

However, at times the book was a little slow or confusing, but I always figured out the confusing parts quickly, and I think the slowest parts for me were the fighting scenes XD (although others might find those to be the best parts lol)

All in all, this was a great book, but I think its (ideal) target audience is more teen/tween guys, although girls could easily enjoy it as well :)

Things I Loved:

-A sci-fi adventure feel, but without too much "sci-fi"

-Clean (content-wise)

-Good character growth

Things I Didn't Love:

-It was a bit slow at times

In Conclusion:

Although it was a bit slow at times, this was a great sci-fi book to read if you're looking for a more milder, contemporary-feeling (rather than hard-core) sci-fi novel.
