Review:

~I'd like to thank the author for sending me a free copy in exchange for my honest review!~

... ... Honestly, where is the option for more than 5 stars?

This was such an AMAZING book, I don't even know where to begin. I mean, I had high expectations for this book to begin with, but I was still completely BLOWN AWAY by the sheer AMaZZZiNGGGNESS of it!!!!!

I was hooked from the first page. And once I was hooked, I couldn't escape it. I had to read more and see what happens next. Then, I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with the characters, plot, story world, ALL of it!!!

If I had to pick a favorite character (sacrilegious, I know), it would be Jayden. I love how he develops throughout the story, and he's always so unpredictable, yet, by the end, you love him.

Also, you can't forget that this book has one of my other favorite elements, the characters that aren't distinctly "bad" or "good" and leave you wondering which side they're really on.

But all of this is NOTHING compared to the MOST MASSIVE cliffhanger I've EVER read! I mean, oh MY GOSH!!! And if you know me, you know that no book is complete without a good cliffhanger (unless it's standalone), but this one went above and beyond. Normally, when I read a cliffhanger, I'm like "wow, this was good, looking forward to the sequel!", but this time, I will spend countless nights awake, wondering what's going to happen next, and be worrying for the VERY EXISTANCE and safety of their world. (a little dramatic? maybe, I don't know XD)

In the end, I have no words. No words. Except that this book will most likely be passed down to the coming generations and will become a classic.

Also, I want to add that I really loved the romance in this book! It was small, and I predicted it was going to happen from early on, and when it happened I was SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!

Anyway, this book was one of THE BEST I've EVER READ, and I need to read the sequel!!!!!!!!

Things I Loved:

-Honestly, everything. The plot, the world it was set in, the characters and their development, just everything.

-Also, can we talk about the gorgeous cover?!

Things I Didn't Love:

-I have absolutely no complaints, except that the sequel hasn't come out yet!

In Conclusion: Now, writing this review over a year after reading the book, I can still say this is one of the best books I've read. I mean, every time someone asks me to recommend a book, I tell them about this one! What can I say, it has it all! This is an absolute masterpiece guys, go read it, if it's the last book you'll ever read!

Recommended?: ABSOLUTELY! (Especially if you also love hyped-up BookTok fantasy books!)
