Review:

First, I want to give a huge thank you to the author of this book, Nicole Patrice Thomas, for sending me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Ok, holy wow. I loved every single second of this book. It's truly a work of art. It was a masterfully written tale, fusing together a Lord of The Rings-like journey with Marvel-esque superpowers and a Christ-like redemption story. I mean, I loved everything about this book. It was fast paced, engaging, had awesome heroes, horrible villains, and more. Seriously, why isn't this book a bestseller?

Things I Loved:

-There were many times when the siblings could have called each other nasty names or been mean to each other, but they weren't. I love that they respect each other, unlike in lots of today's novels.

-The cliffhanger LITERALLY made my jaw drop and I was in complete disbelief. It was so unexpected! This was probably my favorite cliffhanger ever!

Things I Didn't Love:

-The journey could have possibly been a little longer, but, considering the length of the book, I think it was well done. Also, if it would have been longer, it might have started to drag on.

In Conclusion:

I truly loved this book to it's core, it is a work of art. I'm excited to start reading the sequel!
