Review:

~I'd like to thank the author for sending me a free copy in exchange for my honest review!~

Shimmer actually pleasantly surprised me. Even though the first half was a little slow, there was a cool plot twist in the middle that kept me going. There were places that made me laugh and others that made me turn the page just that much quicker.

If you're a 9-12-year-old who loves cats, this one is definitely for you. If that'd be me, I think I would have probably given Shimmer around 4.5 stars.

So, even though I wasn't really the target audience, I closed this book with a pleasant smile on my face, having enjoyed my time in this "world".

Things I Loved:

-Around the middle, there was a cool plot twist, and things started to pick up the pace, getting me more into the book.

Things I Didn't Love:

-In the beginning, things were a little too slow for me.

-I'm not the ideal target audience, but I think younger people would really enjoy this book.

In Conclusion:

Even though I wasn't the target audience, I can say that this would be a great book for a young cat-lover.

Recommended?:

To all my young cat-lovers out there, this one's for you!
